The story behind Calcupedia, the small team building it, and why we started.

Our Story

Calcupedia started from a simple observation: people need small, useful calculations every day, things like mortgage payments, calorie targets, tip splits, or ROI on a marketing campaign, and most of them are scattered across ad-heavy, slow, or outdated websites.

Every site Odeh built before Calcupedia needed some kind of calculator somewhere, and it always came down to the same three bad options: spend hours hunting for a plugin that almost fits, pay a developer for something a visitor might use once, or skip it and lose the engagement entirely. Calcupedia exists so nobody has to make that trade-off again.

So we built one place with 2,400+ calculators covering finance, health, math, business, real estate, and more. Free, fast, and no account required to use any of them.

The second half of what we do is for website owners, bloggers, and businesses: every calculator on Calcupedia can be embedded directly on your own site in a couple of clicks, styled to match your brand, and used to capture leads. It's the same calculator engine we run, running on your page instead of ours.

Who We Are

Calcupedia is a two-person effort at heart: founder Odeh Ahwal and his wife, Reina Maamari. The couple builds the product together, calculator by calculator, feature by feature. When a specific piece of work calls for it, an occasional freelance hire joins in, but Calcupedia stays a small team by design.

Our Mission

To help people solve their day-to-day and mathematical problems, one calculator at a time. Whether it's a quick tip split, a mortgage estimate, or a formula you'd rather not do by hand, Calcupedia should have it ready and free to use.

Our Vision

To be the internet's one-stop destination for calculators: the first place people turn to use one, and the first place website owners turn to embed one.
