What you can ask

“What's the monthly payment on a $400,000 home with 20% down at 6.5% over 30 years?”

The payment, total interest and payoff figures from Calcupedia's mortgage calculator, plus a live calculator in the chat with your numbers filled in, ready to adjust.

“Convert 72 kg to pounds, and find me a BMI calculator.”

The conversion from Calcupedia's weight converter and a short list of matching BMI calculators with links.

“I run a real estate blog. How do I put a mortgage calculator on my site?”

A link to style that calculator and get its embed code. Customizing needs no account; creating the embed takes a free one.

Privacy and limits

For each tool call we record the tool, the calculator, which assistant sent it and whether it succeeded, so we can see which calculators are useful. We don't store conversations, the values you enter, IP addresses or account details. Links in answers carry tags that tell our analytics the visit came from an AI assistant. Requests are rate-limited to keep the service fast for everyone. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Adding Calcupedia's MCP server gives your assistant direct access to Calcupedia's calculators, so it can return exact results instead of estimating the math itself.

A Claude connector is an MCP server added to Claude, so Claude can use its tools in your chats. Calcupedia's connector is a calculator MCP server: it lets Claude search and run Calcupedia's calculators and unit converters.

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, add a custom connector, and paste the server URL shown above. In Claude Code, run the one-line claude mcp add command above. No sign-in or API key is needed for Calcupedia.

It's free and needs no Calcupedia account or API key. You only need an account later if you decide to embed a calculator on your own website, and that account is free too.

Claude (web, desktop and mobile), where answers come with a live calculator you can adjust, plus Claude Code and any other assistant that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP, such as Gemini (custom apps are available in the US for now).

When Claude runs a Calcupedia calculator, it shows a small interactive calculator under its answer, already filled in from your question. Change any number and the results recalculate with the same formulas as the website. Buttons open the full calculator on Calcupedia or the page for embedding it on your own site.

Yes. The server runs the exact same calculation code as the calculator pages, and every answer includes a link so you can open the calculator and check or adjust the numbers yourself.

None about you. For each tool call we record the tool name, the calculator used, which assistant sent it and whether it succeeded. We don't store your conversation, your inputs, your IP address or any account details. See the privacy policy for the full details.

No. Every tool only reads public calculator data. It can't create accounts, change anything, or buy anything.
