Who we are
Calcupedia is a product of ECOMDIMES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13874830), with a registered office at 182-184 High Street North, London, E6 2JA. In this policy, “Calcupedia,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to ECOMDIMES LTD.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to calcupedia.io and to any calculator you interact with through one of our embeddable widgets, whether that widget is on our own site or embedded on someone else's.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, and a display name if you set one, when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Calculator inputs. You do not need an account to use any calculator. The numbers you enter are processed in your browser to compute a result and are not sent to our servers, unless you submit a lead form (see below).
- Anonymous usage data. We track anonymous, session-based events (page views, calculations run, votes) to understand which calculators are useful and where to improve. This data is not tied to your identity.
- Lead form submissions on our own pages. Some calculator pages on calcupedia.io offer an optional form to save your results or receive follow-up information. Submitting one is always optional, and the information goes to us.
- Lead form submissions inside an embedded calculator. If you use a calculator that a business has embedded on their own website, and that business has turned on lead capture, any name, email, or phone number you submit is collected on that business's behalf. We process it as a service provider to that business; they control what happens to it after that, and their own privacy policy governs it, not just ours.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves.
- Preferences. Unit, currency, and language settings you choose, tied to your account.
- Support requests. Anything you send us through a support ticket, including your email and the content of your messages.
- Contact form. If you use our contact form, we keep your name, email, the reason you chose and your message, so we can answer you. We don't add you to any mailing list.
How we use your information
To operate the service (compute results, run your embeds, process billing, respond to support requests), to improve the calculators and site over time, and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, to anyone, for any reason.
AI assistants (Calcupedia MCP server)
Our MCP server (calcupedia.io/mcp) lets AI assistants such as Claude search and run our calculators. It needs no account and no sign-in.
- What we record. For each tool call: the tool used, the calculator involved, which assistant sent it (for example Claude), whether it succeeded, and the time.
- What we don't record. Your conversation, the values you enter into a calculator, your name, email, account details or IP address. Your IP address is held briefly in memory to enforce rate limits and is never stored.
- The calculator in the chat. In assistants that support it, results come with an interactive calculator. Each time you change a value there, the new values are sent to our server to recalculate, the result is sent back, and the values are then discarded. We record that call the same way as any other tool call above, without the values. The calculator loads nothing from other websites and sets no cookies.
- Why. To see which calculators are useful and to keep the service working well.
- Storage and sharing. These records sit in our own database (Supabase) with our other usage statistics. We don't share or sell them. Our host, Vercel, processes the request like any other web request.
- Retention. Kept as usage statistics while they are useful to us. They contain nothing that identifies you.
- Links in answers. Links the server returns carry tags (for example utm_source=claude) so our analytics can tell a visit came from an AI assistant. Visiting our site from such a link is covered by the rest of this policy, including the cookie rules above.
- Your assistant. What you type into Claude or another assistant is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy, not ours.

How we share your information
We use a small number of service providers to run Calcupedia, and share only what each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase: our database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure.
- Stripe: payment processing for paid plans.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Google: sign-in (if you choose Google to sign in) and Analytics.
- Microsoft: Clarity, for anonymized session-recording analytics.
If you submit a lead form inside a calculator embedded on someone else's site, that information also goes to the business that embedded it, as explained above. Beyond these cases, we do not share your personal information with third parties, and we never sell it.
How long we keep your information
- Account data. Kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
- Billing records. Kept for as long as tax law requires us to retain financial records, currently up to 7 years, even after an account is deleted.
- Anonymous usage data. Kept for up to 26 months, then deleted or fully anonymized.
- Support tickets and embed leads. Kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted on request.
Your rights
Wherever you are in the world, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate
- Delete your account and the personal information tied to it
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, advertising cookies)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any of these rights, delete your account directly from Dashboard → Settings, or email us at hi@calcupedia.io.
International data transfers
Our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple countries, including the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on the standard safeguards those providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to keep it protected to the same standard as it would be at home.
Children
Calcupedia's calculators are not harmful to children, but the product is not designed or marketed for them. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter into a binding contract in your own country to subscribe to a paid plan. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than that.
Managing embeds for other businesses
Our Agency plan lets one account manage embeds on behalf of multiple client businesses. If you use Calcupedia this way, you are responsible for having the right to collect and process each client's visitor data on their behalf, including any consent that client's own site requires under their local law.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to production data. No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
