Who we are

Calcupedia is a product of ECOMDIMES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13874830), with a registered office at 182-184 High Street North, London, E6 2JA. In this policy, “Calcupedia,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to ECOMDIMES LTD.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to calcupedia.io and to any calculator you interact with through one of our embeddable widgets, whether that widget is on our own site or embedded on someone else's.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, and a display name if you set one, when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Calculator inputs. You do not need an account to use any calculator. The numbers you enter are processed in your browser to compute a result and are not sent to our servers, unless you submit a lead form (see below).
• Anonymous usage data. We track anonymous, session-based events (page views, calculations run, votes) to understand which calculators are useful and where to improve. This data is not tied to your identity.
• Lead form submissions on our own pages. Some calculator pages on calcupedia.io offer an optional form to save your results or receive follow-up information. Submitting one is always optional, and the information goes to us.
• Lead form submissions inside an embedded calculator. If you use a calculator that a business has embedded on their own website, and that business has turned on lead capture, any name, email, or phone number you submit is collected on that business's behalf. We process it as a service provider to that business; they control what happens to it after that, and their own privacy policy governs it, not just ours.
• Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves.
• Preferences. Unit, currency, and language settings you choose, tied to your account.
• Support requests. Anything you send us through a support ticket, including your email and the content of your messages.

How we use your information

To operate the service (compute results, run your embeds, process billing, respond to support requests), to improve the calculators and site over time, and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, to anyone, for any reason.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Authentication. A cookie that keeps you signed in. Necessary for the service to work; can't be turned off without also signing you out.
• Language preference. A cookie that remembers which language you last chose.
• Analytics (Google Analytics). When enabled, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless, consent-not-required mode by default for every visitor. It does not set a tracking cookie or identify you individually.
• Advertising (Google AdSense). We may show ads through Google AdSense. If you are visiting from the UK or EEA, you will see a consent prompt (via Google's own consent management tool) before any advertising cookie is set, and you can decline personalized ads there.

How we share your information

We use a small number of service providers to run Calcupedia, and share only what each one needs to do its job:

• Supabase: our database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure.
• Stripe: payment processing for paid plans.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Google: sign-in (if you choose Google to sign in), Analytics, and AdSense.

If you submit a lead form inside a calculator embedded on someone else's site, that information also goes to the business that embedded it, as explained above. Beyond these cases, we do not share your personal information with third parties, and we never sell it.

How long we keep your information

• Account data. Kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
• Billing records. Kept for as long as tax law requires us to retain financial records, currently up to 7 years, even after an account is deleted.
• Anonymous usage data. Kept for up to 26 months, then deleted or fully anonymized.
• Support tickets and embed leads. Kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted on request.

Your rights

Wherever you are in the world, you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is inaccurate
• Delete your account and the personal information tied to it
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, advertising cookies)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any of these rights, delete your account directly from Dashboard → Settings, or email us at hi@calcupedia.io.

International data transfers

Our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple countries, including the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on the standard safeguards those providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to keep it protected to the same standard as it would be at home.

Children

Calcupedia's calculators are not harmful to children, but the product is not designed or marketed for them. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter into a binding contract in your own country to subscribe to a paid plan. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than that.

Managing embeds for other businesses

Our Agency plan lets one account manage embeds on behalf of multiple client businesses. If you use Calcupedia this way, you are responsible for having the right to collect and process each client's visitor data on their behalf, including any consent that client's own site requires under their local law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to production data. No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
