How is this different from the Sonotube or Cylinder calculators?
This calculator is for a hollow tube or pipe-shaped concrete piece, using both an outer and inner diameter. The Cylinder and Sonotube calculators are for a solid round column, poured inside a form rather than being hollow themselves.
How is the volume calculated?
The cross-sectional area of the outer circle minus the cross-sectional area of the inner circle, called an annulus, multiplied by the length.
What if the inner diameter is zero?
That reduces this calculator to a solid cylinder, giving the same result as the Concrete Cylinder Calculator.
