How is gratuity calculated?
Gratuity = Rounded Years of Service x Final Month's Salary (+ D.A.) x 15/26. The '15/26' represents 15 days' pay per year of service, based on a 26-day working month.
How is years of service rounded?
If the final partial year includes more than 6 months of service, it rounds up to a full year; 6 months or less rounds down. For example, 12 years and 7 months counts as 13 years.
