How do I get average gain and average loss?
Take at least 14 periods of price changes, average all the positive changes for average gain, and average the absolute value of all the negative changes for average loss.
What does an RSI above 70 or below 30 mean?
These are commonly used, though not guaranteed, signals: above 70 suggests the asset may be overbought, below 30 suggests it may be oversold. Neither is a guarantee of a price reversal.
