The mole ratio comes directly from the coefficients of a balanced chemical equation — for example, in a reaction where 2 moles of reactant A produce 3 moles of product B, the mole ratio of product to reactant is 1.5.
What is the limiting reactant?
The limiting reactant is whichever reactant runs out first in a reaction, determining the maximum amount of product that can form — this calculator assumes the reactant entered is the limiting one.
Does this account for reaction yield?
