How is the number of trusses calculated?
Truss count equals the roof length divided by the on-center spacing, plus one for the starting truss, rounded up to a whole truss. This matches the standard framing convention of placing the first truss at the start of the run and then one truss at every spacing interval after that.
What spacing should I use?
24 inches on-center is the most common residential truss spacing in the United States, though some designs use 16 or 19.2 inches for additional stiffness or roofing material compatibility. Check the truss engineering drawings for the specified spacing.
Does the cost include delivery or a crane?
