How is coupon payment calculated?
Coupon Payment = Face Value x (Annual Coupon Rate / Payments per Year).
Why is current yield different from the coupon rate?
The coupon rate is fixed relative to face value, but current yield is based on the bond's current market price. If a bond trades above face value, current yield falls below the coupon rate, and vice versa.
