Cuboid Calculator
MathCalculate the volume, surface area, and space diagonal of a rectangular cuboid from its length, width, and height.
Volume
Volume of the cuboid, l*w*h.
Surface Area
94.0000
Total area of all six rectangular faces, 2(lw+wh+lh).
Space Diagonal
7.0711
Diagonal from one corner of the cuboid through its center to the opposite corner, sqrt(l^2+w^2+h^2).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a cuboid?
A cuboid is a 3D box shape with six rectangular faces, like a shoebox or a shipping container. Unlike a cube, its length, width, and height can all be different.
How is the space diagonal calculated?
The space diagonal is found by applying the Pythagorean theorem twice: first to get the diagonal of the base rectangle, then combining that with the height. The shortcut formula is sqrt(l^2+w^2+h^2).
How is this different from the cube calculator?
A cube is a cuboid where length, width, and height are all equal, so it only needs one input (side length). This calculator handles the general case where all three dimensions differ.
