What is set-builder notation?
Set-builder notation describes a set by stating a rule its members must satisfy, like {x | 5 <= x < 15, x is odd}, instead of listing every element individually.
What is roster form?
Roster form is the opposite approach: writing out every element of the set explicitly inside curly braces, like {5, 7, 9, 11, 13}. It only works practically for finite or clearly bounded integer sets.
Why does the roster form only handle integers?
A continuous interval of real numbers contains infinitely many values between any two endpoints, so it has no meaningful roster (listed) form. This calculator lists the integers that satisfy the interval and condition.
