How does point rotation work mathematically?
The point is first shifted so the pivot is treated as the origin, then a standard rotation matrix is applied using the sine and cosine of the rotation angle, then the result is shifted back by the pivot's actual coordinates.
How is this scoped differently from Omni's version?
Omni's tool accepts up to 10 points rotated at once. This version handles one point per calculation, since this project's calculator engine does not support an arbitrary, variable-length list of point inputs. Run the calculator again for each additional point.
What is the difference between clockwise and counterclockwise rotation?
Counterclockwise is the standard positive mathematical direction. Clockwise rotation is mathematically equivalent to a counterclockwise rotation by the negative of the same angle, which is exactly how the direction selector is implemented here.
