Each material category, posts, rails, pickets, and post concrete, is calculated as a quantity times its unit price, then all four are added together for the total.
What does pickets per foot mean?
It is the number of pickets needed to cover one linear foot of fence, which depends on picket width and spacing. A typical 5.5 inch picket with a small gap works out to roughly 2 pickets per foot; adjust this to match your actual picket width and spacing.
Does this include labor cost?
No, this estimates material cost only. Installation labor varies widely by region and contractor and should be quoted separately.
