How Many Millimeters in a Centimeter
There are exactly 10 millimeters in a centimeter. The prefix centi means one hundredth and milli means one thousandth, so a centimeter holds ten millimeters. On a metric ruler, the long numbered marks are centimeters and the nine small marks between them divide each centimeter into millimeters.
